Katie Hassman
Katie is currently a PhD student at Syracuse Univeristy’s iSchool. Broadly, her work explores public participation, literacy practices, and unexpected impacts of crowdsourced research projects (e.g. citizen science). She is currently working on a multi-year NSF-grant project where she helps explore learning and emergent forms of knowledge production that occur as a result of interactions between volunteers and professional scientists within the Zooniverse suite of online citizen science projects.
