Emily Oliver

Emily Oliver is a poetry MFA candidate in the creative writing program at Cornell University and runs the digital audio archive, Knox Writers' House (www.knoxwritershouse.com), a spoken map of poets, fiction writers and essayists. She was awarded a Michele Sicca Grant from the Cornell Institute of European Studies to record “A Map of Voices: Contemporary Poets and Storytellers in Ireland" and is a HASTAC scholar. In collaboration with Cornell Plantations, Emily curated Poetry Walk of Mundy Wildflower Garden. This project allowed garden walkers to dial (or scan) to recorded scientific information about a blooming flower collaged with an audio poem using their personal mobile device. Emily is working on the manuscript for her first poetry collection.
